Do you need transportation for your puppy? Are you able to fly into the airport to meet us? If available to your area, would you be willing to spend a little extra money to have your puppy hand delivered to you? I receive many questions of concern about sending a puppy. Here are some common questions and answers. If you have additional concerns, please let me know!
Q. I have heard of using ground transportation to deliver puppies. Is this possible with you?
A. Absolutely! I have been so fortunate to partner with a ground transporter who is very professional, dependable and safe. They are animal lovers and I completely trust them with my puppies. I cannot give a specific quote for this service until given the information on where the puppy will be delivered to. Highly recommended!
Q. What airlines do you use and from what airport where do you ship the puppies?
A. Since the Covid-19 pandemic the airlines have cut back on number of flights as well as the flights pets are allowed on in cargo. I no longer ship in cargo. I researched ground transporters and have options to offer.
Q. How much is ground shipping and what's included?
A. I cannot give a specific quote for this service until given the information on where the puppy will be delivered. This quote comes from the company I recommend. Included with the puppy is a zip tote with a folder that includes puppy's paperwork such as medical record, other new puppy information besides what I send out once puppy is chosen (so you can prepare for puppy's arrival.) Microchip information is also included. I register pup's microchip to new owner before puppy leaves.
Q. How old does my puppy need to be before I can get him/her?
A. Puppies are required by law to be at least 8 weeks old before leaving me. If puppy is deemed too small or just not quite ready to leave me yet, I will keep the puppy the necessary time needed until it is ready to leave me. This will be at no extra cost to you. Puppy will also get any of its' necessary vaccinations and de-worming treatments at no extra cost to you.
Q. If you do have to keep my puppy longer, how do I know how to make plans to receive my puppy - as far as the date?
A. I will let you know when the pup is ready to come home. We will work together on a date. If you are unable to receive your pup at that time, there will be a boarding fee of $5 per day unless prior arrangements are made, plus $20 for each additional vaccination that is needed during that time. The boarding fee is flexible according to circumstances.
Q. If I choose an available puppy that is ready to come home now, what is the procedure and how soon can I get my puppy?
A. If you choose a puppy that is old enough and ready to come home with you now, I will email you appropriate documents to complete and email back to me. You should be prepared to make your payment at that time.
If you are picking up your puppy from us, we will work together on a pickup date for you to receive your puppy from us. If you need and choose to use our recommended ground transporter, I will put you in touch with them for plans and options on date of delivery.
Q. I've heard that sometimes a puppy "nanny" can bring my puppy in cabin on an airplane to a major airport near me. Is that possible?
A. Yes, there is usually a couple of options available I cannot guarantee this service for all destinations. I will do some leg work to find one who is available then put you in touch with them for final travel plans.
Q. Is there any other information I need concerning receiving my puppy?
A. I just ask that as soon as it is possible for you to please call or text me to let me know you have puppy in your arms! I really love to get photos with the puppy and new family! You know, I loved your puppy first and I want to know puppy is safely with you!
